Homemade Beeswax Candles

I started making these, and it could be something fun for you to try! It's a clean burning candle that you can feel good about having in your home, and it also makes for a lovely gift.

The recipe I use is pretty standard: 1 lb of beeswax (I like the pellets), ½ cup of coconut oil and ½ cup of cocoa butter. You could also add a few drops of essential oils if you'd like. Depending on if you use a glass jar or a silicone mold, you will use slightly different steps, but essentially you'll use a double boiler to melt the wax and pour it into whatever you're using, making sure the wick is centered and held straight (I use a dental stick). Wait for it to cool completely before removing it from the mold. Voilà: candles! Links below for what I use to make mine.
