Go Home and Love Your Family

I was reflecting on an old video of mine where I talk about how sometimes we lose the point of being efficient and planning everything when we don't occasionally slow down and enjoy our lives. I thought it may be helpful to share this thought with you that you shouldn't ever forget why you're meal prepping and scheduling. What is the point of saving time with all the charts and zones if you don't use the time you have gained to be in the moment with your family?
Mother Teresa has one of my favorite quotes, which was a response to someone asking what they could do to be like her and change the world. She replied, “If you want to change the world, go home and love your family.” Charity begins at home, and caring for our children and our spouse, even extended family members or others in our house, is our most important work. With the right mindset, this work brings a fulfillment that nothing else in life can. We are being Christ for those he has placed nearest us. What an incredible blessing!
So, when you find yourself rushing here and there, stuffing more and more things into the free moments you have, maybe stop and ask yourself what loving your family would look like right now. I know there are seemingly endless tasks, countless chores, but with some discernment we can find time to enjoy our lives, bringing that peace to our home that surpasses all understanding.
