Keeping the Right Pantry

I've always wanted to have a working pantry that we can go to throughout the month for just about every recipe we have. Even when our budget was lower and I couldn't afford to stock up a lot, I would do one extra of whatever I was getting so there would be backup. I can't recommend this enough! This is the biggest key to staying out of the store! It's nice to have those items in case things get crazy as well, but even just for the saved trips to the store, it's worth it.
A key to this is stocking up on the items you actually use. We cook primarily whole food recipes, so the items we keep on hand are versatile and we use them in a wide range of dishes. I am including a pantry checklist that I think covers most of the keys to have on hand, but feel free to adjust it to meet your family and budget as needed.
